i dont know much about cameras. should i get the sony 3 or 5…

I am thinking about getting an NEX-5 but i cant decide whether to get the NEX-5K or NEX-5H. I mainly shoot urban/architectual style photos with a few still life close ups in between. I’m very into using full manual mode and want to know if its worth to upgrade to the 5H for the extra length. Help me out guys.

Can i use an sd-card and a memorystick pro dou both at the same time in my nex 3? if i do so, how do i get both in the slot?

well i found the best custom BAG for sony NEX 3/5. It has an aluminium frame inside so you can drop it and sit on it And on the ouside, looks like a regular small wallet bag. So nooen gonna steal your camera. Check it out at: NEXbag.bymac.org

When i select playback in the histrogram mode, i notice that the image starts to blink (in form of white patches) in dark areas & bright areas. I wonder if this is normal. Previously i dont think i encounter this before. If this is normal, are there any way to disable this blinking function? thanks!

Despite the aperture being able to go down to F2.8 on the 16mm, I find the 18-55mm F3.5 lens brighter and better for video.

@jonnykurz666 I was told the 16mm is better. I just got a nex which am selling on ebay because I just cant stand silver cameras so I am getting the black one. In the booklet that came with the camera it says the larger lens is suitable for video but for the 16mm it says its optimized for video so that would make it better.

Is the smaller lens better for vids or the 18-55 mm One?

@sheldonlt It can shoot in 3D panorama mode for viewing on 3D capable TVs.

@thegreenpikmin nex 3 the nex 5 is only better because it shoots in 1080p video and the grip is bigger but the video on the nex 3 is still hd at 720p so unless you really care about VIDEO qaulity just get the nex 3

Hey guys, should I get the nex 3 or save up for the 5? I want a small compact Dale camera that can shoot great video and pics. So I wanna ask Qs, 1st, can both cameras connect to a wireless remote, is it worth the upgrade between the two, and would the nex 3 be just fine for hd video for after effects, final cut and etc.

@88t3mpt4tions Thanks for your query, you can buy a Sony NEX Fish-eye converter (VCL-ECF1), which has to be attached to the 16mm ‘pancake’ lens (SEL16F28) to increase your field of view. Please be aware the the fish-eye converter is NOT compatible with the standard zoom lens SEL1855.

@dcrinz Hi there, the ‘pancake’ 16mm is a wide angle rather than zoom lens, which means it’s great for landscape photography, getting wide panoramic shots, city landscapes, or even group shots indoors. The zoom lenses start at 18-55mm is a multifunctional lens from wide angle to short telephoto and can cover most of subjects and better for close-up and portraits than the 16mm.

got the nex3 88 15. I am looking for a fish eye for it, but can’t find any online. Tell me if they make that for my model or not. Thanks.

that looks so cool , wow i just ordered it yesterday, im so geeked about it!… i’ve been trying 2 ask people certain things about it.. like with the macro lens.. does anybody know if u need the Sony Alpha LAEA1 Mount Adaptor to use the macro lens..?

i didnt care at first but when they to reissue the records i loved on DIGITALLY REMASTERED cds, i noticed right away. the sound was crystal clear, and i remember saying to myself “wtf happend to the low-end” digital was too bright and airy, it wasnt the same feel and listening experience for me.
