I’m kind of like you; I have a few red spots on the bottom of my cheeks. I really want to purchase the Dollish Veil BB cream, but I can’t decide which colour to get because I need/want both functions! I love to brighten my face but at the same time have red areas on my face, so which one would you recommend?

Brass is melted after 5 minutes, you can do the same with plasma torch in several seconds. Steel remains unscathed.
Try to melt at least iron-thats something.

What are the measurements of the Fresnel lens you are using? There is another video where someone melted a single penny (I don’t know if it was a pre 83 copper or post 83 zinc penny) with a Fresnel lens that was about the size of a piece of paper, I am going to try it tomorrow with my 8.5×11 Fresnel lens

@jmr1068204 – first, although Wikipedia is not usually a cite-able source for academic papers, there’s a perfectly good explanation of Fresnel lenses there. Second, the lens is only as “destructive” as the amount of light going through it. Three video projectors = not that much light. The sun=1,000 watts per square meter of light, concentrated to a point. Big difference.

@jmr1068204 and they ate really cheap and light in comparison to a heavy glass bi planar convex lens (magnifying lens)

  38. ConnorXV
    December 19th, 2011 at 09:16 | #38

@jmr1068204 a fresnel lens (fruh-nel lens) is the cousin of the bi planar convex lens, they are the same in that they focus light from parallel lines into convergent lines (meeting at a point), they are different in that the fresnel lens has many little triangular ridges on it in concentric circles and each ridge directs a ray of light individually to a point and is made of plastic instead.

@rozniy to melt this in 2 seconds, 100 inches, in about 6 seconds, 50 inches, in about 10 seconds, an average 32 inches.
